Minot Man Dies in Rollover Crash Near Watford City

McKenzie County, ND (KEYZ) A Minot man is dead following a rollover crash early this morning near Watford City.

The crash occurred at about 6:00 a.m. on August 26 when the driver of a 2002 Dodge Ram pickup, traveling west on 28th Street NW in rural McKenzie County, failed to negotiate a left curve and drove off the roadway to the right. The pickup overturned in the north ditch, struck a fence, and came to rest in the ditch upright, facing east. The driver, a 24-year-old man from Minot, was ejected as the vehicle overturned.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports the man was not wearing a seat belt and was pronounced dead at the scene.

This crash is pending investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
