It’s that magical time of year again in North Dakota, when the sun starts setting a little earlier, backpacks go on sale, and kids mysteriously forget how to wake up before 10 a.m. Yep, school is just around the corner! And with that comes the Watford City School District’s annual Stuff the Bus campaign, a popular local effort that’s way more fun than cleaning out your kid’s mystery lunchbox from last spring.

It’s Go Time, Watford City: Let’s Pack That Bus With Purpose!

From now until September 11, the goal is simple: Pack. That. Bus. And not with screaming children or leftover sports equipment...we're talking school supplies and hygiene products that will go directly to students in need across McKenzie County.

So whether you’re grabbing a few extra folders at the store or you’ve got a stash of spiral notebooks that’s been sitting in your closet since 2009 (still unused, right?), now’s the perfect time to share the goods.

See the Bus? Stuff the Bus! Drop-Off Made Easy in Watford City

Drop-off is easy! Swing by the Transportation Building, or simply look for the friendly yellow school bus at local events. If you see a bus parked and looking a little empty, don’t be shy either. Let’s load it up like it’s heading to a warehouse sale!

This is your chance to turn pencils, glue sticks, and shampoo into real acts of kindness. After all, it’s not just about notebooks. It’s about giving every student the confidence and tools they need to start the year strong.

So, Watford City… let’s get packing!
