Williston, ND (KEYZ) Kick-off your shoes and crack a cold one . . .  Williston's annual summer street party, Summer Nights on Main, is back!

Summer Nights on Main is a free 9-week concert series put on by the Williston Downtowners Association and sponsored each week by different area businesses and organizations.  Concert goers flood Main Street from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. each Thursday evening during the summer to listen to great bands performing music from a variety of genres, eat great food from a dozen or so food vendors, and chill in the Beer Garden.  SNOM, as the locals call it, even has activities for the kids.  It is truly a family-friendly event.

The 2022 series kicks-off this Thursday, June 30 with local favorite out of Fargo, North Dakota, October Road.  Fans and newcomers alike will appreciate their take on traditional rock and country tunes as well as their original compositions.

Going strong for nine years, this Williston summer tradition is made possible each season through the generous sponsorship of area businesses and organizations.  Thursday's concert is sponsored by the Williston Community Builders.

"This year, they're [the Builders] actually going to have a booth where they're still trying to raise money for their outdoor pool project.  So, they're going to have some fun dunk tanks and pool-themed games for kids as well as a donation 'pool,' said Naudia Russo, Williston Downtowners Event Coordinator.  "We're super excited to be working with them."

Russo thanks the Builders for partnering with the Downtowners for the first concert of the season adding, "this event wouldn't be possible without our great sponsors."

Summer Nights on Main gets underway with Fargo band October Road this Thursday, June 30 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Main Street in downtown Williston.
