Williston Water Main Breaks Affect Two Neighborhoods

If you live or work in the area of 13th Avenue West or 6th Avenue East, you may notice some extra activity from city crews today.

The City of Williston Public Works Department is responding to three emergency water main breaks, resulting in temporary water shutoffs and road impacts in parts of the city.

Areas Affected

According to Williston Public Works, the affected areas include:

13th Avenue West between 4th Street West and 6th Street West
6th Avenue East between East Highland Drive and 11th Street East

Water service has been temporarily shut off in the affected areas while crews work to prevent additional damage and locate the exact source of the breaks.

Repair crews are already on site and working to get the situation under control.

The repairs are expected to take approximately eight hours, although that timeline could change depending on what crews find once the work progresses.

In the meantime, drivers are being asked to use alternative routes until repairs are complete.

If your normal route takes you through either of the affected areas, this is one of those mornings when it might be worth giving yourself a little extra time.
