It's post season basketball time for the Williston State Tetons, and Teton Men's Basketball will kick things off by venturing down to Miles City for the third time this season to take on the Miles Community College Pioneers.

The second game of the Teton-Pioneer matchup will tip off at 8:00 pm CST.

The men's teams for the Tetons and Pioneers have already met three times this this season, with Williston State taking two out of the three meetings.

Miles comes into the season with a 8-22 overall record and 7-14 in the Mon-Dak, and finished one spot above the Tetons in the final regular season standings.

The Pioneers are scoring 70.8 points per game on the season, while shooting 43.1% from the field and 30.8% from deep.

Blessing Adesipe, leads the team in scoring with 21.5 points per game, with Denzel Kabasele (14.8 ppg), are also averaging double digits.

Williston State comes into the season with a 5-23 record overall in the season and 3-18 in the Mon-Dak Conference.  The Tetons are averaging 63.5 points per game this season while shooting 38.4% from the field and 28.1% from the perimeter.

The Tetons are led in scoring by Shaheed Muhammad with 17.8 points per game, with Abiodun Adedo (15.1 ppg), and Wilson Rankin (10.1 ppg) also scoring in double figures.

Three Things to Watch for:

1. Up and Down: When Williston State has been firing on all cylinders they have caused havoc on both ends of the court.  If they can make the Pioneers work for everything they get on offense, as well as use transition offense and stretch the floor to wear Miles down, they can advance to Wharton to play in the second round.

2. Playing Smart:  Both teams on the court today will have short benches, which will make every foul committed exponentially more detrimental to either team. The last time these two teams played, Early foul trouble for the Pioneers gave the Tetons a first half advantage, but were unable to keep the lead as foul trouble of their own snuck up on them in the second half.

3. Fundamentals: The Teton's 2-3 matchup zone has had plenty of fits and starts this season.  At times it can shut down the best teams in the conference, and at others it has been a siv.  The Tetons need to former to show up today with a pioneer team that features prolific mid-range shooters.
