Williston, ND (KEYZ) Ready to launch! The 2nd Annual Williston Airshow returns Saturday, August 20th and right behind it, Sun Country Airlines resumes nonstop flights to Las Vegas in early September.

Preparations are currently underway for the 2nd Annual Williston Airshow, and XWA Airport Director Anthony Dudas couldn't be more thrilled.

"Our first airshow was extremely successful.  We had a great turnout from our community.  It was one of the most fun events I've had an opportunity to be a part of.  We have a great team that's working to develop this, and we've got some really great performers that are going to come visit us on August 20th," said Dudas.

Dudas says RAD Aerosports returns with their hugely popular Jet Waco reminiscent of barnstormers from the 1930s and 40s along with several new performers.

"[Renowned Airshow pilot] Jeff Boerboon has a really unique airplane; it's a Yak 110.  He welded two old Russian trainers together and strapped a jet engine on the bottom of it, and those two perform together and really create a pretty amazing show."

If that's not enough . . . if you're interested in riding in an old World War II Bomber aircraft, Dudas says there will also be a B-25 coming in from the Commemorative Air Force for which tickets may be purchased for that ride and other creative opportunities happening that day.
