Watch Out North Dakota! Quakers Salmonella Problem Got Worse

Just when we thought it was safe to go back to the cereal isle, Quaker Oats has revealed that over 20 more products may make you sick or worse.

The Quaker Oats Company has announced an expansion of the recall that was originally issued on December 15, 2023, that we reported on last month HERE, to cover the additional cereals, bars, and snacks listed below.

These products may contain Salmonella, an organism that can cause serious and occasionally fatal infections in young children, the elderly, and those with compromised immune systems.

When a healthy person contracts Salmonella, they frequently experience fever, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and stomach pain. The diarrhea may even be bloody. Rarely, a Salmonella infection can cause the bacteria to enter the bloodstream and cause more serious conditions like endocarditis, arthritis, and arterial infections (i.e., infected aneurysms).

The products listed below are sold throughout the 50 United States, Puerto Rico, Guam and Saipan. Consumers should check their pantries for any of the products listed below and dispose of them.
