Grenora Is Ready For Donkey Basketball

Donkey basketball is the talk of the town! Great fun comes up in Grenora on January 16th. This night will be packed with fun. Real donkeys, family friendly comedy, basketball games and dinner...what else could you ask for? What's even better is this is a fundraiser for the Grenora FBLA.

The Future Business Leaders of America is sponsoring this event to help raise money for their travel costs, conference registration, and other necessities when they attend the State Leadership Conference in Bismarck.  They also use funds to conduct community service projects in Grenora and the surrounding area.

Mountrail Williams Electric Co-op, Life Lovin' Mama Boutique, the Big G Center of Grenora and Dakota West Credit Union will be sponsoring teams to play preliminary games before a short championship game as a finale. I am told that there may be some familiar faces from days gone by participating in this event too. They were pretty hot handed in their day...we will see how they do on the back of a donkey!

The FBLA chapter will be serving a soup dinner along with a dinner roll and water for a free will donation. If you find yourself looking for something different, there will be a small selection of concession items available during the event. Either way, food will be available. Advance tickets are $10.00, and you can get yours by contacting any Grenora FBLA member. Tickets will be $12.00 at the door. Pre-school will get in free.

Cameras will be allowed to capture all the fun, but video is NOT allowed. The free-will meal starts at 6:00pm, and donkey basketball begins at 7:00pm. See you at Grenora School for Donkey basketball on Monday, January 16th!
