Donkey Basketball Returns To Grenora North Dakota

Donkey basketball is the talk of the town! Great fun returns to Grenora on Sunday, January 14th. This night will be packed with lots of fun. Real donkeys, family-friendly comedy, basketball games, and dinner...what else could you ask for? What's even better is this is a fundraiser for the Grenora FBLA.

The Future Business Leaders of America is sponsoring this event to help raise money for their travel costs, conference registration, and other necessities when they attend the State Leadership Conference in Bismarck.  They also use funds to conduct community service projects in Grenora and the surrounding area.

There are two games coming up where spectators can have a good laugh! Be sure to stick around for the championship round to follow.

• Game 1 - Treasured Stitches -vs- Farmers Union Oil
• Game 2 - Farmers Union Insurance -vs- Horizon Resources

I am told that there may be some familiar faces from days gone by participating in this event again. They were pretty hot-handed in their day...we will see how they do on the back of a donkey!

The FBLA chapter will be serving a dinner for a free-will donation. If you find yourself looking for something different, there will be a small selection of concession items available during the event. Either way, food will be available. Advance tickets are $10.00, and you can get yours by contacting any Grenora FBLA member. Tickets will be $12.00 at the door. Pre-school will get in free.

Cameras will be allowed to capture all the fun, but video is NOT allowed. The free-will meal starts at 6:00pm, and donkey basketball begins at 7:00pm. See you at Grenora School for Donkey basketball on Sunday, January 14th, 2024!
