Williston Decides On New School Board Members

The Williston Basin School District #7 announced the unofficial results of the June 10th school board election.

Here are the newly elected board members: 

• Jeremy Brenner (At-Large)
• Brittany Kilgore (At-Large)
• Samuel Johnson (At-Large)
• Annette Sluder (Outside City Limits; write-in candidate)

The unofficial total number of votes tabulated is 1131 in person and 431 absentee, for a total of 1562 ballots.

Mail-in ballots needed to be postmarked by June 9th; however, with the margin of winning, totals wouldn't be swayed by any that have been hung up in the mailing system.

The unofficial vote count for each candidate:

At-Large (3 positions available):

Jeremy Brenner - 1173                          

Brittany Kilgore - 1112                               

Samuel Johnson - 870  

Katie Zufelt        - 610      

Diane Schmidt   - 312

David Rodriguez - 149

Outside City Limits (1 position available):

Annette Sluder  - 974   

Dennis Nehring - 441

Canvassing will take place on Monday, June 23rd at 5:00 PM, at which time the official results will be declared, finalizing the election.
