The Williston Police Department was very busy over the Fourth of July holiday, with more than 300 calls for service between July 3rd and July 5th. The department said that July 5th was the busiest day, with more complaints about fireworks and more activity in general.

On July 5th, there were 21 complaints about fireworks, which was a big increase from the five calls on each of the two days before. Loud music also drew the ire of Williston residents, which was the cause of one complaint every day.

The WPD also assisted the Williston Fire Department with a significant amount of calls, including 11 fire-related calls on July 4th, in addition to noise and fireworks.

On July 3rd, officers answered 105 calls; 92 on July 4th; and 107 on July 5th.

Specific details about individual calls for service were not included.
