Williston North Dakota Gears Up to Host 2027 Babe Ruth World Series
Williston, North Dakota, is preparing to take center stage in the world of youth baseball as it gets set to host the 2027 Babe Ruth World Series for 14-year-olds. The tournament is scheduled to take place from August 14 to 21, 2027, at Williston’s historic Ardean Aafedt Stadium. With teams and fans expected from across the country and Canada, the city is launching major fundraising efforts to make the event a home run for the community.

Williston Prepares to Welcome the Nation for 2027 Babe Ruth World Series
The 2027 Babe Ruth World Series will bring together eight regional champions from the United States and Canada, along with the North Dakota state champion and Williston’s host team. That means ten elite teams will descend upon western North Dakota for a week of top-tier baseball, sportsmanship, and community pride.
Williston and its volunteers are used to hosting events like this. The last time the city hosted one was in 2022, and it was amazing! Great teams, a drone show, and Lee Greenwood all at a first-class facility left everyone satisfied! Now, in preparation, the local Babe Ruth World Series Committee has set a fundraising goal of $350,000. These funds will be used for necessary stadium improvements and to cover operational expenses associated with hosting an event of this scale.
Local Help Is Needed for 2027 Babe Ruth World Series
Organizers are now contacting people, companies, and groups who may wish to help with the project. There are many different ways to participate, including sponsorships, gifts, and in-kind contributions. Larry Grondahl at (701) 770-7897 or by email at grondahl@dia.net should be contacted by anyone wanting to know more, asking for a presentation, or talking about a possible contribution.
Williston is all set to blast this one out of the park with strong community support and a deep-seated passion for baseball in our area. The formal countdown until August 2027 has started!
