
From Arrests to Accidents: Williston, North Dakota Police Report a Packed Week
It was another busy week for police in Williston, North Dakota. According to the Williston Police Department’s latest weekly activity report, officers responded to 618 calls for service between September 28 and October 4, 2025.
Law enforcement stayed active across the board — from arrests and traffic stops to accident investigations. The department recorded 34 arrests during the week, which included 10 felony arrests and 21 misdemeanors. Officers also handled two infractions and one other arrest category, showing that police were busy handling a wide range of incidents across the city.

Williston Police Stay Busy with Traffic Stops, Accidents, and Reports
Traffic enforcement was another major focus area. Officers conducted 112 traffic stops, issuing 36 citations and 16 written warnings. These numbers highlight the department’s continued commitment to keeping Williston’s roads safe for everyone — especially as daylight hours grow shorter and road conditions start to change with the season.
Accident response also kept officers on the move. The report shows 16 traffic accidents were investigated during the week — 13 non-injury and three involving injuries. Thankfully, there were no reports of fatalities.
In addition to arrests and traffic activity, officers completed 102 reports, reflecting the ongoing workload of documenting incidents, following up on investigations, and maintaining detailed records for future cases.
