Watford City Author Was In Williston For A Special Event
A group of first graders from Williston's Trinity Christian School came were a part of a special day at Country Floral of Williston. Gretchen Stenehjem, the author of a newly published children's book called Buddy The Dog, was on hand for a reading and book signing.
"Buddy the Dog," tells the inspiring story of a canine with a disability who faces challenges in making friends due to his appearance. Through understanding and empathy, the other animals in the tale learn to overcome their fears and prejudices, forging a lasting friendship with Buddy. This beautifully illustrated book not only captivates young readers but also imparts essential life lessons about acceptance and inclusivity. That's something we could all be a little better!
All that attended the event today got the news that Gretchen's second book is in the works, and will feature Buddy, and a new friend. I don't want to give many details, but considering it will be released just in time for Christmas, you might have an idea.
"Buddy the Dog" books are available for purchase at Country Floral, and the proceeds from the book sales will be directed towards a noble cause. All earnings from the book sales will benefit the Anne Carlsen Center in Jamestown, North Dakota, an organization dedicated to providing services and support for individuals with disabilities.
