Neglectful Dog Owners: You Deserve All the Karma That’s Coming
If you choose not to properly care for your dog, you deserve every ounce of bad karma the universe can possibly throw at you.
Dogs are not accessories, yard ornaments, or status symbols. They are living beings, capable of deep emotional connections, loyalty, and love that, frankly, many humans can’t even aspire to. To treat them with anything less than the compassion, attention, and care they deserve is not just irresponsible—it’s heartless and cruel.
Let’s be clear: neglect isn’t always some dramatic act of abuse. It’s leaving a dog tied up in the backyard for hours, days, weeks on end, exposed to the elements without adequate shelter, water, or companionship.
It’s not bothering to feed them proper food, or worse, letting their health deteriorate because you can’t be bothered to schedule a simple vet visit. It’s thinking that your occasional five-minute walk around the block is "good enough" while your dog craves stimulation, exercise, and interaction.
If you’re too lazy, self-centered, or careless to provide for their basic needs, you shouldn’t have a dog. Period.
Don't get it twisted, there are working dogs that are charged with tending to livestock, guarding property, serving those with disabilities, or members of law enforcement. However, the vast majority of those dogs are still cared for properly, instead of being tied up with electrical wire, living in their own filth, with inadequate access to food and water.
Don’t be surprised when the consequences of your neglect eventually catch up to you. Karma has a funny way of balancing things out. Whether it’s in the form of bad luck, failed relationships, or a general sense of dissatisfaction in your life, it will come back. Dogs are pure creatures, and when you mistreat or ignore them, the universe will undoubtedly take notice. You deserve every bit of negativity that heads your way.
This is by no way an incitement to take matters into your own hands, we can only hope that the proper authorities can save man's best friend before it's too late.
If you really want to do something, donate to our local shelters, consider fostering or adopting if you have the capacity, and contact your local legislators to push for harsher penalties for animal abuse, as well as make it easier for animal control to seize mistreated animals.
So, to the neglectful dog owners: get your act together or face the cosmic consequences.
