Scott Haugen, Director of Content, is a passionate writer and storyteller known for his keen insights into local events and unconventional perspectives. Born and raised in Grenora, Scott graduated from Grenora High School in 1993 and furthered his education at the University of North Dakota in Williston, earning his degree in 1995. He embarked on his radio/writing career the same year when he was hired at a local station. With an unyielding love for his community, Scott delves into the heart of local events, illuminating aspects that often escape notice. His distinctive approach captivates readers, urging them to see the world through a different lens. Scott's commitment to showcasing the extraordinary in the ordinary makes him a respected figure in the realm of local journalism, fostering a deep connection between the community and his work. When I am not on-air, I enjoy working in my yard, a great steak, Vegas, Keno, and a cool Coca-Cola. I also love the Vikings, and I do enjoy getting back to Grenora to watch the Gophers or Mon-Dak Thunder play from time to time too. I genuinely love the Mon-Dak region, and the best part of my job is meeting all of our great listeners.
