Williston Students Face Isolation After Measles Exposure
Following the measles exposure at three schools, 180 students in the Williston Basin School District #7 are staying at home.
Unvaccinated students at Missouri Ridge Elementary, Williston Middle School, and Williston High School have been informed that they will be required to isolate for 21 days to ensure they were not infected and help stem the spread of measles in the community.

The precautionary measures are being taken to prevent students from spreading the virus to others throughout the WBSD#7 which has around 5,300 students.
The quarantine requirement affects some unvaccinated fourth-grade students who were touring Williston Middle School on the day of the exposure.
Some students who did not attend the affected schools but shared a bus ride with exposed students have also been required to quarantine.

If Williston High School seniors under quarantine do not show any symptoms after their 21-day isolation, they will be allowed to participate in graduation commencement at the end of May.
