If you’ve been waiting for a sure sign that spring is basically knocking on the door in Williston, here it is: the 39th annual Sports & Rec Show is rolling into town March 20–22 at the Raymond Family Community Center—and it’s bringing just about everything except the mosquitoes (thankfully).

This year’s show is packed with boats, RVs, spas, recreation gear, outdoor experts, and enough ideas to make you seriously question whether your current weekend hobbies are exciting enough. Add in live demonstrations, vendor booths, and special guests like fishing expert Jason Mitchell sharing inside tricks for landing those monster local fish, and you’ve got a full weekend of “I should’ve brought a bigger truck” moments.

Still need convincing? Here are the 5 best reasons to attend

1. It’s basically spring break for outdoor lovers (without the airfare).
From RVs to boats to backyard spas, you can mentally transport yourself into summer mode even if there’s still a snow pile in your yard.

2. Jason Mitchell is dropping fishing knowledge bombs.
If you’ve ever wondered why the fish are laughing at your bait, this is your chance to learn the secrets that might finally even the score.

3. The “unexpected animal encounter” factor.
Yes—there will be a baby kangaroo, baby zebra, tortoise, and more. Because nothing says “sports and recreation” like realizing your spirit animal might be a mildly confused baby zebra.

4. The upstairs booths are a hidden treasure hunt.
Don’t stop at the main floor—head upstairs and discover even more vendors, gear, and surprises you didn’t know you needed.

5. It’s cheap fun that doesn’t feel cheap.
At just $3 admission (kids 12 and under are free), it’s one of the best-value weekends in town.

Hours are Friday 1–8 PM, Saturday 10 AM–7 PM, and Sunday 10 AM–4 PM. So grab the family, bring your curiosity, and prepare for a weekend where “just looking” almost never happens.
