Election season is ramping up in Williston, and with the June 9, 2026, primary election right around the corner, residents have a valuable opportunity to learn more about the candidates who hope to represent them. Getting informed before heading to the polls is one of the most important steps in the voting process, and two upcoming candidate forums will make that easier for the community.

The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce is hosting a pair of candidate forums that will highlight individuals running for a variety of local and state positions. These events are designed to give voters direct access to candidates while offering a structured, informative setting to hear where each person stands on important issues.

Second Forum Is Scheduled For May 6, 2026

The second forum will take place the following evening, May 6th, also at 6:00 PM at the same location. This event will shift the focus to city-level leadership, including races for Mayor, City Commission, and the Williston Park Board. As part of the Chamber’s “Policies & Pastries” series, this forum will center on the future of Williston and the decisions that will shape the city in the years ahead. Like the first event, it will feature a moderated format, timed responses, and the chance for residents to have their questions addressed.

Community participation is a key part of both forums. Residents are encouraged to submit questions ahead of time through the Chamber’s website, allowing candidates to respond to the issues that matter most to local voters.

With important decisions on the horizon, these forums offer a meaningful way to stay engaged and informed. Taking the time to listen, ask questions, and understand each candidate’s perspective can make a big difference when it comes time to cast your vote on June 9.

If you can not attend in person, you can listen to both of the forums on 660 KEYZ. Hopefully, we will see you there!
