
Williston Landfill Day Now Set For May 31 After Rain Delay
In an announcement on the City of Williston Facebook page, Williston hasd made the decision to push back landfill day to its alternate date of May 31st.
The decision was made due to the rain and muddy conditions out at the landfill.
On the 31st, landfill employees will direct traffic to help move the public in and out of the landfill as quickly and safely as possible.

Restrictions include:
Limit of 4 tires per load
NO lead acid batteries
NO liquids
NO waste oil
NO commercial, industrial, or contractor business will be allowed free disposal [normal rates will apply]

To help keep the amount of garbage blowing out of your vehicle, the Public Works Department is also reminding all Williston residents that the city's tarp ordinance requires anyone hauling to the landfill to use an enclosed or tarped vehicle to haul materials going to the dump for disposal. Violation may result in a $25 fee.
