The P-51 Mustang And B-25 Bombers Coming To Williston This August

I am so excited because August will be here soon, and something fun will take flight! There are many things to look forward to, and the annual Williston Basin Airshow is scheduled for August 15 at Williston Basin International Airport!

Who is performing at this year's show?

MiG-17

With over 36 years of experience in airshows and military contracting, FIGHTERJETS INC has earned a reputation for getting the job done every time. No other civilian organization has provided the level of jet support to airshows that we have. FIGHTERJETS INC, based out of Tyler, Texas, was founded by Randy W. Ball in 2001. Randy had been flying warbirds for 11 years prior to forming FIGHTERJETS INC. He wanted to provide the airshow community with a premier group of pilots and jets for the airshow public! Randy has 2000 plus hours in the MiG and had his 1800 show in October 2024!

Jet Waco

Jarrod Lindemann knew he would become a part of airshow history after seeing his first airshow and doing his first aerobatic performance. To date, Jarrod has logged thousands of hours in everything from training aircraft to private jets.

In 2020 Jarrod locked in the Jet Waco, a Taperwing Waco modified with the addition of a Learjet engine! With the Jet-Waco, Jarrod has realized a lifetime ambition of his to serve as an inspiration to young aviators everywhere.

The mission of Team RAD is to inspire and excite individuals of all ages to take up flying. RAD is on the search for compatible partners to collaborate with in order to build our unique and engaging brand further!

Kyle Franklin

Kyle and Liz Franklin continue to wow and amaze crowds across the country and the world with their unique style of flying and showmanship. Over Kyle’s career, he has created and performed over 12 different airshow acts in 6 different aircraft, including wingwalking, solo aerobatics, comedy acts, motorcycle to airplane transfers, stunt driving, aerial dogfight routines, and many more. Kyle Franklin has become known as the “King of themed air show acts” and a legend in the airshow world. He has been flying airshows full time for over 25 years, and has won the coveted Bill Barber Award for Showmanship. Kyle, with the help of Liz, continues to reinvent himself to bring something new to the airshow industry and to keep up with ever-changing pop culture.

Michael Lents

Michael Lents of UND Aerospace joins our lineup for the fourth time!

With over 2,500 hours instructing students in spin recoveries and aerobatic flight, Michael also coaches the UND Aerobatic Team, leading them to 10 National IAC Collegiate Championship Titles!

P-51D Miss Kitty

Dakota Territory Air Museum will bring its restored P-51D Mustang “Miss Kitty III” to the Williston Basin Airshow on August 15th. Aviation fans, history buffs, and airplane enthusiasts won’t want to miss the chance to see and hear this incredible aircraft in action.

The North American P-51D was restored by Casey, Haley, and Brady Odegaard, Odegaard Wings, and AirCorps Aviation, taking its first flight in 2019. The aircraft honors the original “Miss Kitty III” of the 75th Fighter Squadron, 23rd Fighter Group, which served in the China-Burma-India Theatre during World War II.

Also returning to the airshow is the B-25J “Miss Mitchell,” a historic World War II bomber operated by the Commemorative Air Force Minnesota Wing. The aircraft honors the B-25 bombers used in the famous Doolittle Raid on Japan in 1942 and served more than 130 missions with the 310th Bomb Group in North Africa and Italy.

After a 12-year restoration, Miss Mitchell flew again in 1992, exactly 50 years after the Doolittle Raid. Today, the aircraft travels across the U.S. and Canada for airshows and special events, giving visitors a chance to experience living history.

Both aircraft will be featured at the Williston Basin Airshow on August 15th.

Hot Streak II

Things heat up on the ground as well as Hot Streak II returns to the Williston Basin Airshow for the first time since 2023! Hot Streak II is a twin jet engine 57 Chevy Pickup capable of speeds of 350+MPH entertaining fans across the country for over 20 years.

The 2026 Williston Basin Airshow is set for Saturday, August 15, 2026, with several ticket options available for fans looking to enjoy a day of high-flying excitement.

General admission tickets include parking and gate entry:

Adult (18-64): $17.56
Senior 65+ / Military: $12.15 (Military ID required at gate)
Youth (Ages 2-17): $6.75
Family Package: $39.19 (Includes 2 adults and 2 youth tickets)
