Keybirds To Host 2025 AA American Legion Baseball Tournament
The City of Williston will be the proud host of the 2025 North Dakota State “AA” American Legion Baseball Tournament, scheduled to take place from July 28 to August 2 at the Ardean Aafedt Stadium.
This high-stakes tournament, organized by the Williston Boys Baseball Committee, Williston Parks and Recreation, and Edgar M. Boyd American Legion Post #37, will feature the top ten “AA” American Legion baseball teams from across North Dakota in a double-elimination format.
As the host team, the Williston Keybirds will compete alongside other top teams, all vying for a spot in the Central Plains Regional, held in West Fargo from August 6-10. The champion and runner-up from the Williston tournament will advance to this regional level, with hopes of progressing even further in the American Legion Baseball season.
Last season, the Keybirds fell short of making it back-to-back trips to the regional tournament. However, with a little bit of home cooking under the leadership of third-year head coach Trever Sorenson, the 'Birds have their sighs set on playing deep into August.
KEYZ will be along for the Keybird season all year long, no matter how far they go, and you can catch every game on 660 KEYZ News Radio, KEYZradio.com, and the KEYZ Radio app, which is available for free on the Google Play and IOS stores.
Organizers are expecting a fantastic turnout and are excited to bring such a prominent event to Williston. For those interested in learning more about the event, Larry Grondahl, Kazuma Kaneko, and Tyler Burnett are available for inquiries and additional information.
