A Williston man is facing multiple felony and misdemeanor charges following a reported domestic incident and a brief vehicle pursuit Monday evening, according to the Williston Police Department.

Police said officers responded at about 5:54 p.m. Dec. 16 to an apartment building in the 3100 block of Second Avenue East for a report of a physical domestic incident. Officers arrived on scene approximately five minutes later and determined there was probable cause to arrest a suspect for simple assault involving domestic violence and burglary. By the time officers arrived, the suspect had already left the scene.

The suspect was identified as 33-year-old De’angelo Oliver. Police later located a vehicle associated with Oliver in the 3000 block of 29th Street West. When officers attempted to initiate a traffic stop, Oliver fled, prompting a police pursuit.

During the pursuit, officers attempted to deploy a tire deflation device, but police said the suspect was able to avoid it. The pursuit lasted just over five minutes and ended in the 100 block of 30th Street West, where Oliver stopped the vehicle. He was taken into custody without further incident.

Investigators later determined Oliver had committed multiple acts of domestic violence over the weekend, including an aggravated assault involving strangulation.

Oliver is facing charges of burglary, a Class B felony; aggravated assault involving domestic violence, a Class C felony; fleeing a peace officer, a Class C felony; reckless endangerment with extreme indifference, a Class C felony; and simple assault involving domestic violence, a Class B misdemeanor.

In addition to the local charges, police said Oliver is being held on outstanding warrants from the state of Tennessee for aggravated assault and vandalism.

The top country albums of 2025 prove the genre has room for all kinds of artists — as long as they're authentically themselves.
The Top 3 albums on this list are so different from one another that they almost shouldn’t be in competition at all. A traditionalist, a genre outsider and a pop-country duo represent some of the very best country music released this year, and the one thing they have in common is that each leaned fully into their strengths.
Staff opinion and reader input made up the bulk of Taste of Country's Top 10 list, with streaming numbers, sales data and chart performance rounding out our decisions.
