
Commissioner Cymbaluk Resigns From City Commission
Commissioner Tate Cymbaluk has officially resigned from the City of Williston Board of Commissioners, citing family and safety reasons after 16 years of service.
In a press release of Cymbaluk's resignation, Williston Mayor Howard Klug commented that “Commissioner Cymbaluk helped guide our city through unprecedented growth, the Covid Pandemic and other challenges that no other elected official faced during their term in office.”
Klug has made interim appointments to ensure continuity of city operations and governance. Effective immediately:
- Commissioner James Bervig has been appointed as Vice Chair of the Board of Commissioners and will assume responsibility for the Licensing Committee.
- Commissioner Tori Siemieniewski will take over the Airport Portfolio and serve on the Development Review Committee.
- · Engineering and Public Works Portfolios will be jointly managed by Mayor Howard Klug, President of the Board, and City Administrator Shawn Wenko.
The City of Williston Board of Commissioners will appoint a new commissioner to serve the remainder of Commissioner Cymbaluk’s term, which runs through June 2026.

The city’s plan is to appoint a new commissioner by June 24, 2025.
