HHS: North Dakota Households To Receive Full November SNAP Benefits Soon
North Dakota Health and Human Services (HHS) announced that steps are being taken to ensure households receive their full or remaining November Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits following the program’s continuation after the 2025 federal government shutdown ended on Nov. 13.
According to HHS, households that received a partial benefit on Nov. 7 will be issued the remaining amount, while those that received no benefit on that date will be issued their full November allotment. Benefits will be distributed once system updates reflecting the continuation of the program are completed.
HHS reported that SNAP participants may see funds on their electronic benefit transfer (EBT) cards as early as the evening of Monday, Nov. 17, though the exact timing cannot be confirmed. Individuals can check their EBT balance through the ebtEDGE mobile app, by visiting ebtedge.com or by calling the Customer Service Helpline at 1-800-630-4655.
“We’re grateful for the full SNAP benefits that support nearly 56,000 North Dakotans. The pause revealed the strength of our communities—neighbors, businesses, and organizations stepped up with compassion and resilience,” said HHS Interim Commissioner Pat Traynor. “Whether donating food, contributing money, or rolling up their sleeves to help, the way people came together in a time of need was truly inspiring.”
