North Dakota General Election: What Measures Are On The Ballot?

With the general election now officially less than two weeks out, North Dakotan's will soon be asked to decide on several measures that will affect not only themselves but the over 720,000 residents of the Peace Garden State.

Here are the measures that you will be asked to vote on.

Local Measures

WILLIAMS COUNTY MEASURE NO. 1
Shall the Williams County Board of County Commissioners eliminate the Williams County Weather Modification Authority?

• Yes: A vote to approve the measure.
• No: A vote to reject the measure.

State Measures

Constitutional Measure 1 - SCR 4001: This measure amends sections 12 and 13 of Article IX of the North Dakota Constitution, revising the language that describes public institutions.

Constitutional Measure 2 - SCR 4013: This measure amends sections 2, 3, 4, and 9 of Article III of the North Dakota Constitution, focusing on the process for approving constitutional amendments. Constitutional Measure 3 - HCR 3033: This measure revises Section 26 of Article X of the North Dakota Constitution regarding the spending and transfers from the legacy fund.

Initiated Measure 4: This measure proposes adding a new article to the North Dakota Constitution, prohibiting political subdivisions from imposing property taxes except for bonded indebtedness until fully paid.
