Williston Basin International Airport recorded 9,730 passenger boardings in July 2025, a 13.5% increase over July 2024, as North Dakota’s eight commercial service airports collectively set a new all-time monthly record. Statewide boardings reached 122,238, surpassing the previous July record of 112,141 in 2024 and marking the fifteenth consecutive month of record-breaking passenger traffic.

Delta Airlines added a third daily flight to Minneapolis from Williston beginning August 1, increasing connectivity for western North Dakota travelers. The airport’s growth reflects rising demand for both business and leisure travel in the region.

Fargo’s Hector International Airport led the state with 54,008 boardings, its sixteenth consecutive month of all-time monthly highs. Bismarck Municipal Airport recorded 28,819 boardings, Minot 17,360, Grand Forks 7,533, Dickinson 2,246, Jamestown 1,267, and Devils Lake 1,275. All eight airports saw growth compared to July 2024, contributing to a statewide increase of 10,097 passengers, or 9%.

Year-to-date through July, Williston has handled 57,228 passenger boardings, nearly 8% more than in 2024, helping North Dakota reach a total of 776,542 boardings. The consistent increases across all airports highlight the strength of the state’s commercial air service network and the continued expansion of flight options for residents and visitors alike.
