Going Postal: Stamp Prices Could Climb Again, North Dakota
Hey North Dakotans, you need to brace yourselves—because another price hike is coming, and this time it's courtesy of the U.S. Postal Service. The USPS has officially filed notice of a price increase that, if approved, will go into effect on July 12. That means your mailbox might be getting more expensive to use.

Forever Stamps Getting Pricier—Plan For Those Thank-You Notes Now!
Let’s talk about those Forever stamps first. Starting July 13, the cost of sending a letter with a first-class Forever stamp could jump from 73 cents to 78 cents. That’s a nickel more for each birthday card, bill payment, or love letter you send the old-fashioned way. So if you're planning to write thank-you notes for all those graduation gifts, now might be the time to stock up.
Metered Letters & International Mail Could Be Affected Too
That's not the only increase being proposed. Metered letters could increase from 69 cents to 74 cents. International mail might nudge up from $1.65 to $1.70. And if you're one of the few still sending postcards from your epic road trip through the Badlands, you may need to pay 62 cents instead of 56.
This marks yet another price adjustment from the Postal Service as it continues its mission to deliver through rain, snow, sleet, and budget shortfalls.
Keep in mind that the Postal Regulatory Commission must first approve the proposals, so we will soon see how things land. So what’s the takeaway here? Buy your stamps before July 12, like you’re investing in gold. Think of it as putting your money where your mailbox is.
