
BNSF Train Derails Outside Williston, No Injuries Reported
Update 2-21 1:54PM: KEYZ has received word that the Williston Derailment occurred on Thursday, February 20th. We have been unable to confirm the exact time of the derailment and have sent requests out to officials to gather more details.
On Friday morning, just outside of Williston, a BNSF freight train derailment occurred just south of town near the Little Muddy River. According to initial reporting by The Williston Herald, the train may have passed through a building. KEYZ has reached out to Burlington Northern Santa Fe for all available information on the incident.
To ensure public safety, please stay clear of the area and allow officials to investigate and begin cleanup of the incident.
As of the time of publishing, there have been no reported injuries in the apparent derailment.
