Barricaded Man Arrested by SWAT for Domestic Violence

WILLISTON (KEYZ) - A man who barricaded himself in the basement of his parent's home, necessitating a response from multiple law enforcement agencies, was arrested November 13th in Grenora on multiple charges including Interference with a Telephone During an Emergency Call, a class C felony and Domestic Violence - Simple Assault, a B misdemeanor among others. The Williams County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a domestic violence situation in Grenora. The Northwest Crisis Negotiation Team and the Williams County SWAT Team were later called to the scene to provide assistance. SWAT later entered the home and arrested Jeremy Garaas. Garaas is currently being held at the Williams County Correctional Center.
