WPD Sergeant Detective Danielle Hendricks was the recipient of the 2021 North Dakota American Legion Ray Atol Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award. and was extremely honored to be recognized.

"Receiving the award is an incredible honor, very humbling.  I know we have some incredible law enforcement officers in this entire state," said Sergeant Detective Hendricks.  "I may be a little bit biased, but I do because I work beside them every other day."

The award was given out at the Department Convention Legion Session in Dickinson that took place on June 24 through June 26, 2022.

Sergeant Detective Hendricks was presented with the award, which is named after former Williston Police Chief Ray Atol, and is presented to one officer in the State of North Dakota each year.
