Congratulations to Williston and our first responders! The first-ever Battle of the Badges blood drive was a success! It would be an understatement to say that it was a success!
Recap of Monday: There were 99 donors present, 18 of whom were first-time donors. Vitalant was able to collect 93 units of lifesaving blood.

Battle of Badges

Team Law and Team Fire also faced off in a friendly tug-of-war contest. In the third round of a two-out-of-three competition, Team Law prevailed.

Tug of War

Tuesday's clash had an even bigger turnout than Monday thanks to a quick start. On the event's second day, 116 donors attended, 23 of whom were first-time donors. Vitalant collected 104 units of blood that can save many lives.

Trophy Presentation

At the end of the competition, Team Law took home the traveling trophy with a win in a 112 to 100-point score. Although Team Law was our winning team, all of the donors and all of the patients in need were the big winners! Thanks to everyone that came out and donated blood, and volunteered time for the event, and to our first responders for always setting the example, and for all you do on a daily basis.

If you are interested in donating again, the next Williston Community Blood Drive will be held on April 3rd and 4th, so get that pen out and mark the calendar now. If you would like to schedule an appointment or would like more information on how to host a blood drive, contact Teresa Johnson at 701-609-4110.
