The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce will recognize five projects and six graduates from its 2025 Leadership Williston program during a ceremony on Sept. 24.

The event begins with project presentations at 10:30 a.m. inside the County Administration Building, 206 E. Broadway. That portion of the program is free to the public. A luncheon and awards ceremony will follow at noon at the Hampton Inn & Suites, 1515 14th St. W., with tickets available for $30 through the chamber’s website.

This year’s graduates include Diane Schmidt, who led the “Engage Williston” initiative; Gabby Brown, whose project is still pending; Kayla Stamp, with “The All Arts Project”; Stacie Bondy, who organized “Bingo for Books”; and Jackie Monzon and Victoria Hoppe, who partnered on the “Color Run Diaper Dash.”

The Leadership Williston program runs eight months and is designed to develop local leaders through community engagement, exploration, and professional development. Chamber officials said the program helps participants better understand the region’s economic, cultural, and civic landscape while encouraging them to contribute through hands-on projects.

Brookelle Otte, president of the Williston Area Chamber of Commerce, said the program has long served as a way to cultivate residents who will take on leadership roles across the city and beyond. “Leadership Williston highlights the creativity and dedication of individuals who want to give back to their community,” Otte said.
