Fire crews worked Thursday to fully extinguish an industrial structure fire north of Williston.

According to a post on The Williston Fire Department's Facbook page, WFD assisted the Williston Rural Fire Department at the scene near 58th Street Northwest and Hamilton Lane. The response began earlier in the day, with multiple units deployed, including engines, tenders, a ladder truck and medical support.

Crews focused on eliminating remaining hot spots, and water was shuttled to the scene from the Love’s Truck Stop area to support ongoing suppression efforts.

Smoke from the fire was reported drifting into Williston. Officials advised residents and businesses to keep doors and windows closed, shut vents and set heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems to recirculation mode to limit smoke entering buildings. Those with respiratory conditions, including asthma, are encouraged to take extra precautions.

Fire officials said crews will remain on scene until the fire is fully extinguished; the cause of the fire has not been released.
