\The Williston Fire Department (WFD) will host a special ceremony on Tuesday, December 3, 2024, to honor five firefighters who have successfully completed their probationary period. The event, which is open to the public, will take place at 6:30 p.m. in the John Kautzman Chamber Room at City Hall, located at 22 East Broadway.
The ceremony will recognize firefighters:

The celebration not only officially welcomes them to Williston's ranks of firemen and women but also celebrates them for their dedication and hard work over the past year. Each of these firefighters has met the rigorous standards set by the department during their probationary period, marking an important milestone in their careers.
Assistant Fire Chief Corey Johnson is set to deliver remarks during the event, while Fire Chief Matt Clark will oversee the proceedings. Chief Clark highlighted the significance of the occasion, stating, “The Fire Department Oath is issued and presented to those beginning their careers in emergency services.
It’s a reminder of their commitment to the community and their fellow firefighters as they complete their probationary period and pledge to the continued protection of our community.”
