The Williston Basin Career and Technical Education Center will host its annual CTE Showcase on Wednesday, Feb. 11, from 5 to 7 p.m. The event will be held at the Williston Basin CTE Center, located at 4200 32nd St. W., with entry available through Door 18 on the north side of the building.

The showcase is being opened to families, students and members of the community. Attendance by Gov. Kelly Armstrong has been announced, and he is expected to be present during the event.

An overview of Career and Technical Education programs offered through the Williston Basin CTE Center will be provided. Visitors will be given the opportunity to explore classroom spaces, observe demonstrations and speak with CTE teachers and staff. Information about North Dakota Choice Ready will also be made available.

Programs scheduled to be highlighted include welding, agriculture, automotive technology, construction, aviation, culinary arts, health sciences, EMT and CNA training, education, law enforcement, sewing, interior design, animal science, horticulture, business and marketing, photography and graphic design.

Free food is to be provided, and games, hands-on activities and door prizes are planned.

Attendance is being encouraged for regional school students and families, including those from Trenton, Grenora, Ray and TCS, as well as students and families from Williston High School and Williston Middle School Central Campus. Community members, industry partners, CTE Advisory Committee members and others with an interest in Career and Technical Education are also being invited to attend.
