Join The Williston Chamber Board And Shape Local Business
The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce is inviting applications for three open seats on its Board of Directors, with a submission deadline set for Friday, Oct. 31.
The Chamber said the new directors will begin their three-year terms in December 2025. Members completing their terms will be eligible for a second three-year term beginning in December 2028. The openings are part of the Chamber’s regular process of rotating leadership to ensure a broad range of voices and perspectives from across the Williston business community.
Eligibility requirements include membership in good standing, either individually or through an employer. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to supporting the local business environment, a clear understanding of the Chamber’s role in advancing growth, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
Applications will be reviewed by the current Board of Directors during its November meeting. Final decisions will be announced before Dec. 10, 2025, giving selected candidates time to prepare before the start of their terms.
Board service is considered both a leadership opportunity and a responsibility. Members are expected to attend one monthly board meeting and take part in at least eight Chamber events each year. They are also encouraged to contribute their time at community gatherings, which include long-standing events such as the Holiday Lights Parade, Farm to Table dinner, Junior Market, and the Stars of Williston Annual Awards. Additional committee work, ranging from workforce development to agricultural initiatives, provides further avenues for directors to contribute.
Chamber officials emphasized that the role is about more than overseeing programs or policies. Board members help shape the organization’s broader mission of advancing economic growth while supporting the development of a community where people choose not only to work but also to live and thrive.
