WPD Issue Scam Alert: Beware Of Fake Jury Duty Warrants
The Williston Police Department has issued a warning about a new scam involving fake "jury duty warrants."
Scammers are targeting residents, falsely claiming they missed jury duty and must pay $7,000 to clear the warrant.
To appear legitimate, the scammers may even offer a discount if the victim can prove they have a steady bank account. Authorities stress that they will never call about a warrant and urge the public to remain vigilant.
If you receive such a call, hang up immediately and report it to the police.
