Williston, ND (KEYZ) A 37-year-old Epping woman sustained serious injuries Thursday, July 7 after her Kia Sorrento T-boned a Ford pickup at an intersection on Highway 2 in Williston.

The crash occurred around 12:30 p.m. when the Kia Sorrento, traveling south on Highway 2, failed to stop at the red light at the intersection with 58th St. West. The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports a Ford F-250, driven by a 51-year-old Williston woman, entered the intersection when the light turned green and was struck by the Kia on the driver's side. Both vehicles came to rest in the intersection.

The driver of the Kia was taken to CHI St. Alexius in Williston for treatment of serious injuries sustained in the crash. The driver of the Ford received minor injuries.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
