The Williston State Tetons head back on the road today for their third contest against Lake Region State, and looks to make it three in a row while keeping pace in the Mon-Dak Conference.

Starting the evening off will be the Women's game, which tips off at 6:30 pm CST in Devil's Lake.  The Tetons are looking to take the rubber match the Royals following a loss in New Town and a win at home in Williston.

Both games were highly competitive with Lake Region winning the first game by 6 points, and the second being taken by the Tetons with a margin of 7 points.

Lake Region comes into the game fresh of snapping a three game losing streak with win over Bottineau.  The 16-8 Royals (8-7 Mon-Dak) could pull within a half game of BSC with a win.

Lake Region is averaging 68.4 points per game while hitting 40.5% of their shots from the field, and 29.8% from beyond the arc.

Tiziana Huici leads the way in scoring, pouring in 15.3 points per game, with Ray'ven Robinson (14.8 ppg), and Kyla Fitzgerald (14.1 ppg) also contribute to the Royals offensive output.

Williston State comes into the game 15-7 (11-4 Mon-Dak) overall on the season, and are looking to make it three in a row and keep them at 9-1 in their last 10 games.  The team is averaging 65.8 points per game, while shooting  42.3% overall and 28.8% from deep.

Tetons are led in scoring by Emily Kurkowsky with 15.1 points per game, and just outside of the the double digit club is fellow sophomore guard Hayley Macdonald (9.6 ppg).

Three things to watch for:

1. Points in the Paint: The Tetons have gone a couple of weeks without a game where a pair of bigs get going in the same game.  It would be a much needed boost in the team and also take a significant amount of pressure off of Teton guards to let them cook.

2. Ball Security: If there has been downfalls to the Teton offense this season it has been forcing entry passes into the post and not securing the ball with rebounds.  Cutting down on those two issues even marginally would turn close games into comfortable victories.

3.  Taking What's Given. Williston State has the highest field goal percentage in the conference and have done a great job not forcing shots, or taking shots very early in the shot clock unless it is a wide open look.  Adding in the teams willingness to make the extra pass makes them the toughest of tests for any opponent.
