Williston State College opens a women’s and men’s basketball doubleheader tonight at the Well on the campus of Williston State College, with both programs continuing early conference play during the 2025–26 season.

Teton Women vs. Miles Community College

The night begins with the women’s game as Williston State enters conference action with a 1–0 league record and a 17–1 mark overall, the best overall record in the conference. The Tetons have been dominant regardless of venue this season, going undefeated at home and on the road, while suffering just one loss at a neutral site.

Through 18 games, Williston State is averaging 91.7 points per game while allowing 54.3, the lowest defensive average in the league. The Tetons opened conference play with a 97–55 victory and have consistently built separation through tempo and defensive pressure.

Individually, Taylah Murtagh leads Williston State at 17.8 points per game. Jersey Berg follows closely at 17.5 points per game, while Leila Heffernan is averaging 13.7 points and a team-high 8.2 rebounds per game. Dani Jordan is contributing 11.6 points per game, and Sophie Barker leads the team in assists at 4.6 per game.

Miles Community College enters the women’s matchup with a 9–10 overall record and a 1–0 mark in conference play. The Pioneers are averaging 71.9 points per game while allowing 78.0. Matilda Sanz leads Miles at 15.3 points per game, followed by Laynee Elness at 14.9. Ebele Mbagwu is adding 12.3 points per game.

Teton Women vs. Miles Community College

Following the women’s contest, the men’s teams take the floor with Williston State entering at 10–8 overall and 0–1 in conference play. The Tetons are 5–1 at home this season and opened league play with an 88–104 loss.

Williston State is averaging 89.3 points per game while allowing 80.8. The Tetons have played at one of the fastest paces in the conference and rank among the league leaders in scoring.

Josiah McDonald leads Williston State and the conference at 26.7 points per game. Eden Hobbs is averaging 22.4 points per game while providing consistent interior scoring. Carson Haerer adds 10.8 points per game and leads the team with 4.6 assists per game. Andrew Sauer is averaging 9.0 points and a team-high 7.1 rebounds per game, while Grantham Milner contributes 4.8 points per game off the bench.

Miles Community College enters the men’s game with a 7–12 overall record and a 0–1 conference mark. The Pioneers are averaging 79.7 points per game while allowing 81.8. Azenio Cossa leads Miles with 20.3 points per game, while Uwami Chongo adds 15.4 points per game. Shad Boyce contributes 10.3 points and leads the team in rebounding at 8.3 per game.
