Get Ready to Rock the Prairie: Grain Palace Days Returns to Ray North Dakota!
Harvest season in North Dakota may be just around the corner, but before the combines roll, it’s time to cut loose and crank up the volume—because Grain Palace Days is back in Ray, August 1st and 2nd! And this year, it’s louder, tastier, and more action-packed than ever.

Let There Be Rock!
If your playlist still lives in the glory days of leather pants and hair spray, you're in for a treat. Tribute bands Bonfire (playing AC/DC) and Shot of Poison (yes, Poison!) are storming the stage on Friday night with a sound that'll rattle your jean shorts. Thanks to a brand-new production company, the show promises to be full-blown rock theater—lights, smoke, and all the high-voltage swagger you can handle.
Tickets are just $40 in advance ($50 at the gate), kids 3-12 are $10, and those 2 and under get in free. Gates open at 5:30, concert starts at 7. Food trucks, drink trucks, and beer gardens will be ready to fuel your air guitar moves—but please, leave the outside snacks at home. And don't forget a chair for your feet (and dignity) when you inevitably need a break from rocking out.
But Wait—There’s More!
The party doesn’t stop when the amps cool off. Stick around for a Friday night street dance featuring country artist Josh Kehr—because nothing pairs with rock like a little boot-scootin’ boogie.
Saturday Is Jam-Packed
Rise and shine for the Veteran Suicide Prevention 3K Run/Walk at 8 a.m., followed by the adorable Kids Parade at 10:30 and the main Parade with Special Guests at 11. Then it’s time to divide and conquer:
Smash some volleyballs in the Sand Tourney
Grab a slice (or three) at the homemade Pie & Ice Cream Social
Devour wings at the Wing Cook-Off
Marvel at vintage rides in the Car Show
Let the kids go wild with face painting, chalk art, and free activities from 12-4
And if that’s not enough? How about some mini bulls for the kids and a full-blown Bulls & Broncs rodeo at 7 p.m. Then it’s back to dancing—DJ D-Jaden will be spinning at the Northside Street Dance to close things out in style.
