Fax Machines Still Matter But Scams Are On The Rise
While fax machines are primarily used for their reliability and security in healthcare, legal, and finance applications, their function in everyday life has just about gone the way of the beeper and the laser disk player.
That has not apparently prevented crafty entrepreneurs from taking to the fax machine to try and bilk people out of money.

It appears to follow the tried and true Nigerian Prince format, but with a modern twist to not only update current areas facing hardships but also add a sickening attempt to tug at heartstrings.
The fax from a Mr. Vladimir Mirov asks to take in his daughter, as well as look after $45 million that is currently frozen in a London bank.

Fortunately, as scams like these become more prevalent and sophisticated, so too are the resources available to keep yourself protected. The most important for North Dakotan's should be the Attorney General's website, where you can also report scams like this one.
