Local Bank Awards Significant Scholarships To Aspiring Students
American State Bank & Trust Company of Williston has announced the recipients of several scholarship programs for the 2026-27 academic year, administered through the bank’s Trust Department.
ASB Vice President and Trust Department Manager Jeramy Hansen said, “It is a privilege and an honor for us to be involved in the process and administration as trustees of scholarship programs for students primarily from Western North Dakota and Eastern Montana. Students in the area have such a great opportunity to receive scholarship funds through these programs. ASB has made it both easy and accessible to apply online through www.asbt.bank.”
The Frank A. Wenstrom & M. Esther Wenstrom Foundation awarded $20,000 to 20 students. Eligible recipients are graduates of Williams County or Carrington high schools planning to attend Williston State College or the University of North Dakota. Frank Wenstrom was a former North Dakota lieutenant governor, state senator and Williston businessman.
The John Eberle Scholarship awarded $60,000 to 39 students from Williams, Burke and Divide counties. The program was established by the Eberle family to promote higher education.
The Maude M. Schuetze Foundation awarded $38,800 to 31 students from six eastern Montana high schools: Culbertson, Westby, Plentywood, Medicine Lake, Froid and Bainville. The foundation honors Schuetze, a longtime Montana resident active in community organizations.
