North Dakota hunters will have another chance this fall to get one of the more than 1,100 deer gun licenses that are available across four blocks for the 2025 season.

Beginning on Tuesday, August 13th at 8 a.m., licenses will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis through the North Dakota Game and Fish Department website at gf.nd.gov.

Eligible applicants include both residents and nonresidents who did not receive a license in the regular lottery or through landowner preference.

Available licenses include:

  • Unit 3A1: 81 any antlerless

  • Unit 3A2: 54 any antlerless

  • Unit 3F1: 251 antlerless whitetail

  • Unit 3F2: 468 any antlerless and 322 antlerless whitetail

Hunters may purchase additional licenses beginning August 20th at 8 a.m. These licenses will run concurrently along with already issued licenses and will be valid during the archery, deer gun, or muzzleloader seasons. Youth under 14 years old are limited to archery-only use with this license type.
