USA Today conducted a poll not too long ago that investigated the travel patterns of Americans all over the country over the past five years. The results of this survey shed light on the efficiency – or lack thereof – of air travelers in each region.

For residents of North Dakota, the findings revealed a mixed bag of efficiency and inefficiency. North Dakotans were ranked as the seventh most inefficient air travelers in the country, according to the survey.

The data highlighted specific challenges faced by North Dakota residents, with the state ranking second in struggling with carry-on luggage and sixth in inefficiency at security checkpoints. A significant 55% admitted to standing too close to the baggage carousel, causing delays for fellow travelers. Additionally, 32% reported frequent struggles to fit their carry-ons into overhead compartments. Believe me, it's not just a North Dakota thing!

The survey also brought attention to the security screening process, with 35% of respondents from North Dakota admitting to accidentally passing through the scanner with personal items such as phones, jewelry, and keys. Furthermore, 33% stated that they had needed reminders from TSA agents to remove belts or shoes during security checks.
