The Williams County Vector Control District will be conducting both aerial and ground mosquito control applications across the county this week as long as weather allows.

If the weather, which is forecast to see a dry week until the 4th, does turn unfavorable, the assault on invertebrate applications will be moved to a later date to ensure effectiveness.

Vector Control will be targeting areas in Trenton and Williston, with a focus on Williston’s Spray Block 8.

The insecticide Imperium will be used for the aerial treatment, and DeltaGard will be used for the ground attack.

Both chemicals have been approved for use in residential areas by the Environmental Protection Agency.

Residents are reminded to please stay at least 300 feet away from a Vector Control truck while it is fogging.

LOOK: Montana's Most Beautiful Rivers

When you're looking for some of Montana's prettiest rivers, you don't have to look for - but you can certainly get off the beaten path, too.
The largest river in Montana by volume is the Clark Fork, but it's NOT the longest. The Clark Fork is considered the headwaters of the Columbia River Basin.
