Montana Invites Bids For New Hunting License Auctions
Montana Fish, Wildlife & Parks is seeking proposals from conservation organizations to conduct auctions or lotteries for 2027 hunting licenses, including mule deer, elk, mountain goat, antelope, and swan.
The agency will also accept proposals for competitive auctions for bighorn sheep and Shiras moose licenses.
This marks the first year antelope and swan licenses are eligible for auction or lottery following the passage of House Bill 330 in the 2025 Legislature.
Organizations must submit separate, species-specific proposals outlining conservation efforts, auction or lottery experience, and expected revenue. Proposals are limited to five pages and must include organizational documents.
Submissions are due July 15 to the FWP Licensing Bureau.
