Williston Area Chamber Extends Deadline for Leadership Program

WILLISTON, ND — The Williston Area Chamber of Commerce has extended the application deadline for Leadership Williston 2025. Interested individuals now have until 11:59 p.m. on December 15 to submit their applications for the prestigious program, which is designed to foster leadership skills through community involvement and professional growth.

Leadership Williston (LW) is an eight-month program that aims to develop leaders from various sectors and industries within the community. For nearly 30 years, LW has provided participants with a unique opportunity to engage with local issues, build relationships, and gain a deeper understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing Williston and the surrounding region.

The program’s goals include cultivating lasting connections among local leaders, offering educational experiences that highlight the inner workings of the community, and equipping participants with tools for effective, empathetic leadership. The curriculum also features a public speaking program aimed at improving communication skills and encourages participants to design and lead community improvement projects.

Each participant is required to pay a $500 tuition fee, which is typically covered by their employer. Financial assistance is available for those in need.
