North Dakota could see not one but back-to-back severe weather days starting today.
Much of North Dakota is in the bullseye for severe weather potential, and especially tomorrow, Thursday, June 9th, 2025.
Here is the latest map from the National Weather Service in Bismarck, and what we can expect.
South-central and parts of southwest North Dakota are in a Level 2 for severe weather potential for today, Wednesday, July 9th, 2025.
The storms today are going to be less widespread, but could be a little stronger than tomorrow's storm potential.
The impacts for today's storms include hail up to golf ball size, damaging winds up to 70 miles per hour, and a tornado can't be ruled out.
What is the timeframe for these storms to develop today?
Storms are expected to form between 3 pm and 11 pm.
More widespread storms across the state are expected on Thursday, June 10th, 2025.
Once again, Bismarck-Mandan will be in a Level 2 threat for severe weather. Much of central and eastern North Dakota is included in this area.
The impacts for tomorrow's storms include large hail up to golf ball size, damaging winds up to 60 miles per hour, and locally heavy rainfall, which could cause flash flooding.
